Background
The client, a leading company in the rehabilitation medical field, aimed to launch a cognitive assessment system for children that uses head-worn sensors to collect brainwave data, transmits it via Bluetooth, and analyzes it with specialized software to support accurate evaluations by doctors and therapists.
They required a high-performance device with powerful data processing, efficient thermal control, and excellent display quality. The hardware also needed to meet strict medical standards in both structure and appearance, while the entire solution had to be delivered within six weeks.

Solution
To address the customer's specific requirements, Vantron rapidly delivered a desktop all-in-one panel PC based on its in-house standard product platform, achieving an optimal balance between high performance, cost efficiency, and medical application readiness.
1. Standard Platform-Based Design for Rapid Delivery: The solution is built on Vantron's VT-SBC-RK3588 single board computer as the core platform. Combined with a sheet-metal enclosure design, this approach eliminates the need for costly custom tooling typically associated with fully bespoke designs. As a result, development complexity is significantly reduced, enabling faster delivery and shorter time-to-market.
2. Flexible Customization to Optimize System Cost: Leveraging the standard motherboard as the baseline, Vantron tailored the hardware configuration according to the customer’s application requirements. Non-essential interfaces—such as serial ports and CAN interfaces—were selectively removed, effectively reducing BOM cost while ensuring the system remained fully aligned with functional and budgetary constraints.
3. Mechanical Optimization for Medical Installation Scenarios: Through in-depth research into the installation environments and user interaction patterns of medical rehabilitation equipment, Vantron performed targeted industrial design and structural optimization. This ensured that this panel PC meets the ISO13485 medical certification, enabling the safety, usability, and installation requirements expected in medical environments, while supporting stable and reliable long-term operation.
4. Dual-Color Options to Expand Application Scenarios: The solution is available in both black and white enclosure variants. The white version aligns with the clean, professional aesthetics commonly required in medical settings, while the black version supports potential expansion into other industrial or commercial applications. This design flexibility extends the product's lifecycle and enhances its overall market value.
